Jessica started her career in dentistry in San Diego working as a chair side dental assistant, acquiring her skills "on the job". She received her Registered Dental Assisting license in 1994. Jessica has 19 years of experience in all aspects of the dental office. She started as a dental assistant, eventually working up to office manager, in general dentistry, cosmetic practices, and multi-specialty practices that included periodontal therapy and orthodontics.
Jessica has 3 years of experience teaching dental assisting in career colleges in California. She finds teaching to be quite challenging, but rewarding at the same time. Jessica has studied with many of the leading innovators in dentistry in southern California which include The Hornbrook Group, Las Vegas Institute, and North Coast Dental Implant Institute. Her initial training as a dental assistant was with Newport Coast Oral Facial Institute. Her students see her as patient and caring, while her colleagues say she is bubbly and confident.

Carolyn completed her dental assisting training at a vocational school in Ft. Worth, Texas. During this one year program she did an internship at an orthodontic office and especially liked that aspect of dental assisting. After moving back “home” to Orange County, Carolyn passed the state board exam to earn her Registered Dental Assistant certification. She also passed testing for x-ray and coronal polishing as required for dental assistants. By taking further classes, Carolyn is also a trained Treatment Coordinator. This has taken her career to a new level of professionalism. She not only completely knows all aspects of dental treatment with her assistant training, but is a valuable part of the dental team in presenting treatment plans to the patients. Carolyn has three years assisting experience and especially appreciates the flexibility of the job. She is our Curriculum Coordinator and is excited to share her enthusiasm for this profession with others.
Carolyn enjoys working out, going to the beach, and was a collegiate athlete. She is also a licensed Aesthetician and is owner/operator of OC Waxing.

Dr. Jeffrey J. Staples, our school director, graduated from Whittier College, then obtained his dental doctorate from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He earned his degree in orthodontics from the University of Southern California.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Staples patented, designed and commercially developed a revolutionary orthodontic palate expander. He has more than 30 years of experience in the field and is excited about the many technical innovations that continually present themselves to the orthodontic profession.
As school director, Dr. Staples oversees the curriculum and also handles some instructor duties in the Orthodontic Assisting program. Dr. Staples is a caring professional who has recognized the need for highly trained dental and orthodontic assistant team members, and he founded this school to meet that need.
Dr. Staples has his orthodontic practice in Mission Viejo, California where he lives with his wife and two miniature schnauzers. He has three grown children, enjoys boating , fishing, hunting, woodworking and is a big Angels fan.
